A single scan is just a snapshot. Frequent scans reveal the trajectory, and the trajectory is what changes #behavior. Know your #baseline

We back companies across the #healthspan economy, and people have seen me be the ‘guinea pig’ for every company I have the pleasure to work with.
After launching Seveno, I asked myself a simple question: What if I measured my own body the way we underwrite a business? This is a series to document my learnings. I believe you can only manage what you can't #measure.
When I discuss with friends, I always ask them how much they spend to get the cars maintained and how much of their business is managed by metrics and data.
WHY DON'T WE DO THE SAME FOR OUR OWN BODY ?
First stop, a #DEXA scan at MORROW.
Weight is a vanity metric. Composition is the real P&L. What the scan actually puts on the table:
▪️ Fat mass and where it sits, where risk quietly accumulates
▪️Lean mass, the asset that compounds protection as you age
▪️Left-right asymmetries, the small imbalances that become injuries later
▪️ Bone density, the line item nobody reads until it breaks
The category read:
📈 Global body #composition and DEXA market sits near US$1.1B in 2025
📈 Projections are ~2x to US$2.5B by 2035, around 9% CAGR
📈 Asia-Pacific the fastest-growing region.
My one key learning: A single scan is just a snapshot. Frequent scans reveal the trajectory, and the trajectory is what changes #behavior. Know your #baseline
My message to operators: Stop over promising and under-delivering. The winners in healthspan need to make high-signal measurement.. ROUTINE, BORING and REPEATABLE.
Where do you see this going, especially with the raging ‘over #optimisation’ debate ?
